Moved to Greece

At the end of September 2018, Al & I moved to Thessaloniki which is located on the Thermaic Gulf of the Aegean Sea in the North East of Greece. He went back to Uni to do a Masters in Strategic Product Design & I packed my swimmers and sunblock but also brought along a small stash of art supplies.

The second largest city in Greece, Thessaloniki is a vibrant, extremely friendly place with a chilled & laid back vibe. Over the centuries, it has had it’s fair share of turmoil but always re surfaced with a smile on it’s face and its soul intact. It is a melange of ancient and modern with a multi-layered history & many influences. I am now living in my very own Palimpsest & I am excited about what lies ahead!

After a short settling in period I found an Artist studio where I am currently spending my time working on a new project.

One can often find me with my head and upper bod deep in a skip in search of scrap timber and metal to use as substrates for my new works.

I am hoping to have completed enough pieces to participate in a Group Exhibition which is to be held here in Thessaloniki at the end of February.

Watch this space for an update. I have uploaded some of the preparatory work for this exhibition on my website.

Thanks for dropping in!
